This bag is great. Better and better with use, like leather should be. Champion!
The bag comes with a removable padded basket meant to further protect your DSLR and other delicate equipment from bumps and bruises. It comes with two removable, re-positionable dividers that are easy to customize with hook-and-loop fasteners. I found the basket to be a little too snug with my Pentax K-1, wallet, etc, so I've removed the padded basket and just have the camera nestled lens-down in the bag. I'm fairly careful with my purses anyway and I think the leather exterior and material lining are sufficient protection for normal daily toting around. I wouldn't send it through a baggage check, but it's OK to take to work/out to eat/for a walk in the park, etc.
With the padded basket removed I have my K-1 wearing a 24-75/2.8 zoom, a compact prime lens (in a padded bag), wallet, cell phone, spare battery, check book, day planner, a few ink pens, pack of gum, multiple tubes of lipgloss, work lanyard (with elevator fob), house/car keys, and I even found a perfect pouch for my Theta S 360 camera inside. :-) It's all I could possibly need! I'm used to carrying big purses (camera bags in disguise), and this one is on the smaller side of bags that I've carried -- Definitely less spacious than my Kelly Moore Mimi bag, which is where I'm coming from.
The hardware is nice, although it was a little oily when I first removed the cellophane that was wrapped around it. It left a greasy spot on a piece of paper pressed up against it. I'm sure that will dissipate with time and use/handling. The straps seem secure, although some of the magnetic-closure flaps don't stay closed, I think once the leather is worn in they will stop popping open on their own. The front buckle can be extended or tightened, but it actually closes with a slide-in snap - you don't have to undo the buckle every time you want to open the top flap of the bag, so that's nice (although not obvious from the images here).
My concern is for the stitching on the D-ring loops. Loaded up, I have this bag carrying a hefty weight and I hope the leather and stitching on those loops holds up. It would probably make sense to make that leather loop around the D-ring extra thick, two layers thick, or a synthetic material (like the nylon weave on the back of the cross-body strap - very nice) that won't be prone to stretching or tearing. I'm not having any problems with it yet! But this is the spot I'm going to watch. I'll post an update after a few months of use.
What a cute bag! This is exactly what I was looking for, stylish vintage chic. Fits my Sony a7iii beautifully with 2 lens, extra batteries etc even a 10.2 iPad! doesn’t fit a tripod. Inside could have been a better softer fabric. There’s 2 adjustable fittings for the camera. Lots of pockets inside and outside. Sturdy and well made. I just love this bag!
I LOVE this bag for my camera! It’s stylish but fits my camera and a backup lens. Just beware it’s a tight fit so you’ll need a slim wallet if you’d like to use this as a purse/camera bag.
Also, be sure to put the handle clips facing down. Within the first 20 minutes of wearing it, he clips grasped onto the top flap of the bag and made marks. Once I flipped the clips downward we were back in business and nothing was getting accidentally snagged.
Bag is smaller than I expected. It just holds my camera and one lense.
The front and side pouches Velcro closed. The leather seems to be good quality and doesn't have a strong smell.
Other than the insert and it being smaller than I expected, I like this bag.
I love the way this bag looks it is feminine and it looks like a purse to me. I have a need for a larger bag I have a large camera and large lenses. I am not able to fit my D850 with a 24-70 lens attached, my 70-200 lens, and a flash in the bag. I will keep the bag for situations when I know I can pack light. I cannot speak on the quality because I have not used the bag yet but the zippers work and the bag is flaw free.
